Of all the "...For Dummies" books I have read and have on my shelf, this one stood out as being much more theoretical than most. Generally they spell out the capabilities of a product and then show you step-by-step how to carry out each function or how to do each task. This book spends much more time talking about the philosophy behind a good presentation. Obviously there is some value in that discussion, but it wasn't what I expected. Perhaps the problem is that creating a Prezi is basically a simple function--though the presentation may blow your socks off, creating the presentation isn't difficult once you know some simple steps. Without the discussion on how to build a presentation, there might not have been enough material for a book.That being said, I wasn't able to find much else on the subject, so if you like to learn from a book, rather than online tutorials, this may be the best there is. You just have to wade through a lot of verbiage to finally get to the part that teaches how to use it.

Prezi is the growing way to present ideas and challenge people to change their behavior. It presents ideas not in linear but in the ways people think about change. There are some good tutorials on the[...] website and also on YouTube. It is hard to comprehend what both are telling you if you don't have the step by step instructions to achieve understanding. "Prezi for Dummies" gives you background needed to accomplish that. If you are making presentations, you definitely need to look at Prezi as a way to do them. If you want to understand the details of Prezi, this is the book to help you. I found it a wise investment. I expect to use it a reference in the days ahead.

As super as this book is - and Stephanie Diamond really gave her all in this fantastic book - it's already outdated! I bought it and still learned a ton from it, and would recommend it as the definitive best Prezi book available at the time of this review. Wish there was an up-to-date book out but alas this is the best we have at this time.What's particularly great is how well organized the book is, the awesome tips and tricks, the presentation ideas, and Stephanie's writing style is wonderful.

I am very frustrated with this book. Apparently I should have done better research before buying it. I am new to Prezi and thought this could be a helpful way to get familiar. Prezi has apparently developed and changed since this book was produced. The book speaks to an outdated version of the software. Don't bother buying the book.

Considering Prezi is totally visual, a book with black and white pages teaching something that due to the general nature of technology, frequently is updated, it just doesn't work.

Prezi changes really fast; I would just go online for tips. I wasn't able to use this at all; it was still referring to the "bubbles" that aren't around anymore.

Prezi For Dummies provided the basic information I needed to begin using Prezi in business presentations. I would recommend Prezi for Dummies.

It was a very long read but a lot of information, just have to go to the website and try it.
