I picked up two 57 pans a few months ago. Got em both for 9k at a pawn shop. Talk about never finding another deal like that ever again. Anyhow got this manual on panheads. I have several others under the Clymer name and they are all ok and can usually get you through whatever your issue is. I would recommend searching out some websites as well to double check that your doing it right.
As with all manuals, you have to have some knowledge. Picked up a few good pointers though!!!!!!!!!!
I found this to be a better manual than Harley-Davidson's as it deals with the Panhead only. Harley has merged the late Panheads and early Shovelheads into a single manual, so you have to wade through information that does not necessarily apply. It also appears to have more diagrams, photos and more detailed instructions. I think it is a very good value compared to the Harley manual.

Decent manual...a few mistakes...but that is CLYMER for you.
