Great book my family worked for the Milwaukee Road in Montana. Brought back many fine memories for me. Sure miss the Rocky Mountain Division.

This book is superb in every way. Noel Holley does an outstanding job portraying my favorite part of The C.M.St.P&P RR.
Noel T. Holley does a wonderful job bringing the Milwaukee Road Electrics to life and has helped preserve the legacy of the men who worked hard on the line. I always wondered about the Milwaukee as I rode my mountain bike on the portion called the john Wayne Trail just outside of Seattle. Some of the pictures the Noel has used look much like the route does today but sadly, missing the trains.
Unlike many railroad books that are rehashes of the same story with lots of pictures and little real historic information, this is a very detailed book on the comings and goings on of the Milwaukee Road's electrified division. The book is a balanced mix of historic information, facts, and stories from the rails. I have not found anything close to this book in terms of detail or information, I really wish more railroad books were like this one.
