I just finished reading the Taste and See book and watching the Videos. Middle of next month I will begin leading the study of this book in a church ladies group. I am so excited to begin! The book delves into the way God uses food in the Bible to bring us together. Margaret points out far more verses than I was aware of that point us to food, to each other and ultimately to God. It is a great read. The videos add more information, give recipes, and invite us to the table. I hope you gather a group do the study along with reading the book. You will be delighted with it!
This study guide and DVD are an excellent extension of the Taste and See Book. It is designed to be used in a Small Group setting but could also be used on your own to give you more background and insight into the topics covered in the book. Margaret is a fabulous tour guide as she travels the world as an Adventurous Investigative Reporter and gives the reader insight into food references in the Bible. Her descriptions make you feel like you are there, tasting and seeing right along with her. The DVD provides 6 sessions that are about 20 min. in length, and the study guide provides daily lessons that can provide more insight for a group leader or for a group member who is looking to go more in-depth. Both provide fun recipes that allow you to incorporate all of your senses in this interactive Bible study. I am excited to use it with my small group.I received an early copy of this to preview but these opinions are my own.
